Shopping Tips and Outfit Tricks

It took me a while to realize that some of the best clothes come from the clearance racks. Trust me, I totally do not have the patience to stand there and sift through 100 pieces of clothing until I find something I like. Usually, I skim, shift the hangers to the very end of the rack, and slide each article of clothing (very quickly) back to the other end until something catches my eye. Plus, you get a little arm workout while you shop. That makes up for skipping the gym...right?

Anyway, let's begin, shall we?

Half of every article of clothing I own is from Amazon... I wish I was kidding...

Here, I'll show you:

I could go on for pages with pictures of everything I have from Amazon, but I won't bore you to death. Moral of the story, give it a shot. Check the comments and the reviews to see what other people say/what pictures they post. My criteria is basically checking for decent reviews, photos, and making sure it's Prime.

Next lesson. The dollar store.

Seriously. Skip Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe for your accessories and go right for your nearest Dollar Tree, or whatever you have around.

Head scarfs/wraps, bandanas, scrunchies... all the latest hair trends for literally $1. Why go anywhere else?

OH... and my personal favorite... THESE ON-TREND SUNNIES. What a score. And I thought $5 Shades at Charlotte was a steal-- Not anymore.

Now, about the clearance rack. The last place I ever thought about shopping in at the mall is Macy's. I normally make a beeline for my usual spots, Forever or Charlotte and call it a day. But this past week, I had to run to the mall; I parked in Macy's lot and went through the store, which I hardly ever do.

I passed this huge section of clearance items but ignored it because I figured:

Clearance at Macy's is probably normal prices everywhere else.

On my way out, I couldn't control myself and decided to take a peak at what they had.

...And oh SNAP, why haven't I done this sooner?

Sure, most items are winter or last season, but who cares?

I picked this lightweight sweatshirt up thinking I could even throw it over a bathing suit after the beach this summer.

Regardless, for $6 bucks, how could I say no?

...OR this cute bell-sleeved crop from Charlotte I found on clearance for $10.

Where are your favorite spots to shop on clearance? Let me know and I'll take a look and shout you out in my next post!

XO,

Nicole
